Pornography and Politics

In the chapter “Pornography and Politics” we will review the interesting and complex relationships between the pornographic world and the political world. Throughout the chapter, we will reflect on the influence of kinks, social stigmas, and public discourse on pornography on the policies and politics of countries. We will examine the various aspects of the issue, from political opposition to pornography to the promotion of freedom of expression and human rights in this area. We will analyze the influence of pornographic content on democracy and civil society, as well as the policy options for dealing with the legality of pornography and the self-regulation of citizens in this field. The chapter will draw attention to the connections between political and cultural identities and political perceptions and policies on the subject of pornography, and will present evidence and examples from modern reality that illustrate the complex relationships between these worlds.
